A reminiscence of Disk-Jockey (Disc Jockey) Uli
A legendary German DJ called Uli worked in German clubs between 1968 and 1972.
He also ran a school for aspiring disc jockeys for a while, and
wrote a book called "Tips fuer Disc-Jockeys und solche, die es werden wollen"
(How to become a successful DJ) [a free reprint - e-book - is available here ). He also appeared on the then famous radio show of Mal Sandock. (WDR)
He also claimed to have worked for Radio North Sea International which may or
may not be true. Anyway, that period of 4 years of intensive work (sex, booze
and rock music) was sufficient to make DJ Uli a legend in Germany. Later
on in his life he studied sociology , psychology and other subjects, got
married, had a beautiful daughter, migrated to the USA, and rumor has it that he
now lives in a remote country somewhere in South America today.
