Martin Luther: The 95 Theses -- http://www.luther.de/en/95thesen.html

The Vatican first went on line in 1996 and the website offers thousands of Catholic Church documents and Papal speeches.

The Pope, however, does NOT have an email address! The site is powered by host computers named Raphael, Michael and Gabriel. (?!)

Scrolls from the Dead Sea  (Qumran)

The twentieth century's most important Biblical discovery is presented here in essays and images, by the Library of Congress. As is said here, the Dead Sea Scrolls "are the largest and oldest body of manuscripts relating to the Bible and to the time of Jesus of Nazareth" that is known. The site is divided into five main topics, which can be studied for a comprehensive understanding of the scrolls and their history. An outline is also provided, for those seeking specific topics, such as: Psalms, Phylactery Cases, or Textiles. The Glossary is a useful reference for students of the Bible, and of the first century B.C.E. (B.C.).s Words and objects which lay unseen for twenty centuries are now spread before the eyes of all in this digital exhibit.
