the Far East, Middle East and Canada.
A former chairperson of the Piano Departments of three American colleges, Dr. Taslit earned piano performance degrees from Indiana University and the Cleveland Institute of Music and was awarded a Ph.D. in Performing and Creative Arts by Cosmopolitan University. The New York Times has called Dr. Taslit "An exhilarating pianist!" and Plácido Domingo refers to him as "Maestro!".
Dr. Taslit also studied then taught at two professional acting studios in Los Angeles. He has acted on stage and film in the U.S. and Europe and has directed operas by Donizetti, Mozart and Rossini and plays by Chekhov and Wilder.
In 1991 Dr. Taslit founded ACTING OPERA(SM), an Acting and Audition-Preparation Techniques training specifically designed for singer-actors.
This training has been given to thousands of singer-actors in over 25 U.S. cities and in London, and singer-actors whom he has trained have appeared in professional productions in more than 40 U.S. states and 22 other countries.
Dr. Taslit is also the Developer of MEMORYMASTERS(TM), a text-and-data memorization technology used by thousands of people worldwide over the past 20 years.
