A Ghazal is a splendid literary art and it was originated in 10 th century AD in Persian language. Ghazal is an Arabic word, which literally means talking to beloved. Later Ghazal was introduced into various languages like Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Sanskrit, English and Telugu. Since 12th century Ghazal has become choice of the poets and singers. In its form the Ghazal is a short poem rarely of more than dozen couplets in the same meter.
