Dimmock, John L. , B.S., HNC, ONC, Consultant, United Kingdom. Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science. Outstanding achievements in the field(s) of: Information Technology. He created the world’s first variable sized computer driven printing system, subsequently changing the entire newspaper printing industry by making it possible to produce a newspaper created entirely from computer generated input. He recently designed and tested a unique new revolutionary communications device. By the time Dr. Dimmock left school he had built many working transmitters of varying capabilities. As an undergraduate student he managed to make the very first United Kingdom data transfer between two locations over the public telephone service. The system he and 3 of his fellow students had developed to transmit data, code named JANET which stood for "Joint Academic Network" - combined with the American equivalent "ARPer-Net" – became the Internet of today.

Today Dr. Dimmock runs a consultancy business , the "Media Services Sussex Ltd." He has just finished the design and testing of a unique communications device. It is his firm belief that this new device, coupled with the emergence of broadband communication facilities in the UK will effect the world in a far greater way than anything he has been involved with to date.

Dr. Dimmock is also a Home Office Licensed Expert Witness in the area of Electronics.
