He also founded and built an emergency medical facility to care for sports divers suffering from diving accidents. This included a decompression chamber. This was the first such unit outside the Royal Naval facility situated in Portsmouth which took care of Decompression sickness accidents and its location on Merseyside meant that divers could receive treatment which would otherwise have meant long delays and possible severe and perhaps fatal consequences. He is the Chief Diver at the Oxford University MARE (Underwater Archaeological team). The team has worked on sites from the Mediterranean to South America.
He also designed and leads the Liverpool Bay Underwater Survey Project, attempting to discover more about the maritime history of the area.

He has also designed a variety of other designs, like the Arenaball, SpaceMouse Plus etc. Many of his products and designs were exhibited in various important museums around the world, e.g. MoMA, New York, Centre Pompidu, Paris.
